Las Vegas Fastener Expo Nears 800 Booths: Expects Record Attendance in First Year at Mandalay Bay
Early Success Guarantees Largest Expo Ever -
The 11th Annual National Industrial Fastener Show/West scheduled for November 12-14, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada USA has far exceeded all previous years in terms of size and number of exhibiting companies, reports Show Management.
“We have already sold 788 booths to 639 companies (as of July 30, 2007), making this year’s event 22% larger than 2006 with four months yet to go. Plus, sales activity continues to be strong with new contracts for exhibit space arriving regularly”, informs Susan A. Hurley, CEM, Show Manager. “We believe the expo will grow to over 800 booths and 650 companies in the massive exhibit hall by Show time. People are very excited about the move to Mandalay Bay and the seamless, all-booths-in-the-same-hall floor plan”, adds Ms. Hurley.
Included in the early count are over 60 companies which have contracted for exhibit space this year that were not in the 2006 Show. Plus, the Machinery & Tooling Section, a new addition to the Show, has attracted 25 companies to date and many more are expected by Show Management. “The Mandalay Bay Convention Center lends itself to large machinery and the exhibiting companies have a ready-made audience for their products in the many fastener manufacturers who will be exhibiting and attending. Schreck, Inc., Cerritos, California, will be exhibiting a machine and we expect more companies to follow suit”, reason Jim Bannister and Mike McGuire, the Show’s General Partners. Show Management is working closely with the International Fastener Machinery & Suppliers Association (IFMSA) and has added Doug Zirkle to its sales team.
The “World’s Largest Fastener Expo” continues to attract exhibiting companies from across the USA and around the world. In addition to the many domestic manufacturers in the 2007 Show are companies from Canada, China, Germany, India, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. The number of international countries represented in the exhibition is expected to grow beyond 15.
“We are also experiencing a growth in the amount of exhibit space being taken by some of our longtime exhibitors. Leading the way is Infasco of Marieville, Quebec and Distributor Sales International (DSI) of Carol Stream, Illinois with a Show record 25 booths and Heads and Threads International (HTI) also of Carol Stream, Illinois which has expanded to eight booths. We expect this trend to continue with companies expanding from one to two booths, two booths to three booths, etc. The current ratio is nearly 1.25 booths per company”, informs Jim Bannister, General Partner.
