National Industrial Fastener Shows Adopts Credo Governing Expo Attendance
Management for the National Industrial Fastener Shows (East & West) has adopted the following Credo Governing Expo Attendance at all their events:
“Our Credo: Since the inception of the first National Industrial Fastener Show in 1981, our intent has always been to bring together the manufacturers of fasteners, master distributors, fastener importers and providers of other related products and services with distributors in the distribution chain. We disallow OEMs and other end users of fasteners from attending in an effort to preserve and protect the distributor’s role in the marketplace.”
“Although we have practiced this credo for 27 years we never published it until now. We are concerned with the recent trend of other industry expos to invite and admit OEMs and other end users to their events and just want to make our position in this regard crystal clear. We feel that allowing OEM attendance is both harmful and counterproductive. This is simply our way of trying to help fastener distributors maintain their market share and pricing”, say Jim Bannister and Mike McGuire, General Partners.
